WELCOME ABOARD!
About SeaKits and the Marine Maintenance SystemSM
Welcome to the spring issue of Maintenance Matters! We were pleased to
hear after our inaugural issue that many of our existing customers found
the content to be "just right," relevant content in quick-read
vignettes. Other readers emailed us saying they liked the newsletter but
still weren't sure who SeaKits was. I thought I would use this welcome
message to tell you what SeaKits does.
First. The cornerstone of the company is the award-winning Marine
Maintenance SystemSM (MMS). MMS is a maintenance and spare parts
management system developed specifically for the yacht and workboat
market and delivered as a web-based, turnkey solution for a specific
vessel or fleet. To appreciate the scope and detail of MMS we encourage
a live demo-call us and you'll see what we mean.
Second. Early customers realized they would have to track down 10 to 20
suppliers to properly outfit their yacht. They challenged us to be a
competitive, single source supplier of spare parts and we launched Spare
Parts Outfitting (SPO). Our approach to SPO includes kitting parts into
logical groups, packaging them in water resistant boxes, and labeling
parts so there is no confusion about what part goes where. We can supply
virtually any part on your vessel.
Third. Customers found that the same trusted source for parts can be
used for deck and safety equipment during commissioning or refit and our
Deck Outfitting service was born. We source and provide everything a
yacht owner needs to get under way including safety equipment, ground
tackle, dock lines and fenders, tools, and even accessory equipment like
dive compressors and hookah systems. Contact us for our comprehensive
Deck Outfitting Checklist.
Fourth. We are big believers in oil and coolant analysis as a predictive
maintenance tool. We developed a private label relationship with a
leading lab and tailored our oil analysis service specifically for
yachts and workboats. The Condition Monitor column will bring additional
information on this subject in each Maintenance Matters! newsletter.
Finally, as a submarine service veteran and boat owner, I wanted the
best flooding damage control kit available-so we developed one. SeaKits
sells over 150 Damage Control Kits each year to yacht and workboat
owners and operators. Visit
SeaKits.com for more information including a detailed list of kit
contents.
If you are a current customer benefitting from one of our products or
services we hope you will take a closer look at the rest. If you are new
to SeaKits, consider a live demo of MMS and experience our technology,
content, and personalized service firsthand.
