This 1985 DF 48 has great sea keeping abilities and the range to reach remote anchorages, provides extended living accommodations at anchor, and has the ability to carry, launch and retrieve a tender.

She has had the same caring owner for the past 18 years and has accommodated his cruising lifestyle well.

If you are considering the purchase of a trawler type yacht you won't be disappointed by this one.

DEFEVER 48 DESIGNED FOR COMFORT

Once inside you'll be astonished a the room and elegance of furnishings, from the forward staterooms (with adjacent bath) sleeping 4, to the master stateroom aft with a queen size, walk-around bed and private bath, all beds with 4" thick mattresses. Spacious cabinets and hanging lockers provide ample storage along with a utility room with space enough for a washer/dryer. At the helmsman's station in the saloon, instrumentation is duplicated from the bridge for foul-weather cruising or to cruise in optional air-conditioned comfort. Visibility all around is outstanding.

The efficient galley doesn't lack the amenities of shore side living, with refrigerator-freezer, double sink, three-burner electric (or gas) range with oven, and enough teak cabinets above and below the counter tops to stock the galley for long cruises. Cabin soles, paneling, and other cabinetry throughout are all of and-rubbed teak.

THE DF 48 OFFSHORE CRUISER

Seldom do you find a yacht in this size range which has as much usable space as the DeFever 48. Above on the sundeck hardtop is ample space for a sizable dinghy and the transom has a capacity davit rig. The fly bridge has seating for five plus 2 day berths, all with storage below. The generous side and fore deck areas allow plenty of space for line and anchor handling. On the DeFever 48 you will find top quality deck hardware and construction.
Molded non-skid deck allow for more cruising time and less maintenance. Still the DeFever has enough exterior teak trim to show her true trawler heritage.
As with many of Arthur DeFever designed hulls the 48 has a fine entry and deep forefoot.
The solid fiberglass hull is hard laid and below is a full length keel which provides protection to the heavy duty running gear. All of these attributes make for an excellent offshore, long-range cruising yacht.

The vessel has been owned by the same owner since 2001, he has kept a comprehensive log and he has been meticulously about any required maintenance when needed.

The vessel has been cruising on a regular basis, it has just returned from a 6 month cruise and now that the owner is retiring from cruising any prospective buyer will find this to be an exceptional well-kept vessel ready to go cruising at any time.
