Description
Brand new listing.
"Runaway" is the perfect pocket yacht for a couple that is looking to do some serious cruising. There is a LOT of yacht packed into a relatively small hull. Despite her LOA, she is a wonderful performer! She sips fuel at 8-9 knots, and can easily cruise 12 knots and top out at 16 knots with her 270hp Cummins power plant! Roomy salon/galley aft, raised pilot house with sliding doors on each side, full head with dedicated shower and master stateroom with full-beam berth forward. She has a relatively new Raymarine electronics package (chart plotter/radar/autopilot/digital depth, and VHF). The victim of an unfortunate storm in 2016, Runaway did rest on the bottom in shallow water briefly. (Her transom got caught beneath a fixed dock - this was not a hull intrusion). Other than the fact that any and all affected equipment was either replaced or rebuilt (main engine rebuilt with 260 hours on meter since, generator replaced with a Phasor 8kw (100hrs), new wiring where needed, etc.) there really is no other visible evidence. Listing agent personally ran the boat on a full-day delivery with absolutely no issues, and she has traveled many many miles since her incident. One other note is that the original fuel tank was replaced with a new 100 gallon tank. Less than what the original tank held, but still plenty enough fuel for typical cruising needs. There is room to easily add additional tankage if desired. Currently located at Bluewater Yachting Center in Hampton, VA. Come see her quickly before she is spoken for! Great boat!

Working from the stern forward, board the vessel from the integrated fiberglass swim platform and through the centerline transom gate into the cockpit. The cockpit is just the right size and offers easy dock line handling, remote hot/cold freshwater shower, lazarette hatch in sole, built-in dock box storage, ladder to upper sun deck with stainless safety rails and full Bimini top (shown in the down position in photos), and access to side decks port and starboard. Enter cabin through windowed door with overhead hatch into the main salon and galley area. To starboard is an L-shaped settee with dinette table and large storage cabinet forward, while to port is the L-shaped full galley with stainless sink, glass top electric stove, microwave oven, under-counter refrigerator/freezer, and abundant drawer and cabinet storage throughout. The space offers plenty of headroom and great visibility and fresh air access through multiple large opening windows.
Moving forward and up 2 steps past the electric panels is the raised pilot house. Again, excellent visibility is offered from this vantage point. Helm station and Captains bench-style seat us to starboard, while the bench-style mate/companion seat is to port. Engine and equipment room is accessed through two large hatched in the pilot house sole. Sliding doors to port and starboard lend easy access to the side decks and onwards to the foredeck, or back aft to the cockpit. This boat is very easy to get around on!
Forward still and down 4 steps are the master stateroom and head with dedicated shower space. The master stateroom offers a built-in queen berth forward, hanging locker, ample drawer storage, opening port lights starboard and port, and an overhead hatch. The private head is located just aft to starboard and features a shower, electric head, vanity with storage and stainless sink, and a bench-style seat.
The entire cabin is air conditioned/heated via 2 separate systems, and there are plenty of opening windows and overhead hatches throughout. The entire cabin some is carpeted, and the abundant wood cabinetry offers excellent storage and is pleasing to the eye.
