Bob Butler is originally a New Englander from Connecticut, growing up in the small town of East Windsor situated along the banks of the Connecticut river. After college, he began a career in Banking where he learned a lot about financing businesses, homes, boats and air planes. As a commercial banker he spent the next 26 years in a very rewarding career mainly working for banks in Connecticut and Massachusetts. During this time Bob bought his first boat which was a 1964 Chris Craft, Cabin Cruiser and named it “Mr. Chips”.
From that point on Bob was hooked on boats. Knowing that his grandfather was a yacht builder in New Bedford, Massachusetts made him feel like boating was in his blood. “There is no greater feeling than being out on the water, it is a freedom of exploring new places and making new relationships with fellow boaters,” Bob said.
Bob and his First-Mate (Patty) now resides here in Atkinson, NC along the banks of the Black River. He brought his Chris Craft Commander down from Connecticut 10 years ago and now keeps it at Port City Marina, on the Cape Fear River, in Wilmington, NC. Bob believes in helping people reach their goals when it comes to finding that perfect boat or assist them in finding a new owner for their old boat. Building relationships with fellow boaters is so very rewarding.
