As the son of a Navy Officer, Mike Clark had the opportunity to grow up around the world including, Japan, Hawaii, California, and Virginia. As a youngster, he was always in, on, under and around the water and in the shadow of US Navy bases and ships.

Mike earned a swimming scholarship to James Madison University. While in college, during the summer months, Mike worked on a commercial fishing boat, longlining for tilefish and swordfish out of Barnegat Light, NJ.

After college, Mike spent 30 years as an educator and coach at Marymount University in Arlington, VA, as well as owning a competitive swim club in Arlington, VA. Mike retired from Marymount as the winningest swim coach in conference history. Mike has served on the board of several non-profits and is currently president of the BoD of a non-profit he created, the Clark Aquatic Foundation, whose goal is to help children of under-privileged families participate in competitive swimming. While still employed at Marymount, Mike began running fishing charters in the Lower Potomac and Middle Chesapeake Bay on his 37’ Egg Harbor Sportfish. Upon retirement from Marymount, Mike turned his attention full time to boating.

Mike splits his time between Northern Virginia and St. Augustine, Fl. He is a USCG licensed captain possessing a 50T Master, 6 pack and towing endorsement. He is an instructor for Freedom Boat Club, frequently does yacht deliveries along the east coast and works as a captain for private owners both in the DC area and St Augustine. He is a licensed yacht broker in Florida and Virginia, has completed the Yacht Broker Institutes Fundamentals and Essentials for Yacht Brokers, and is a member of MTOA and AGLCA.

Mike thrives on helping people achieve the goals they have set for themselves. Through his philosophy of hard work, compassionate honesty, and easy going/low pressure style, Mike strives to find the perfect vessel for his clients to fit the boating lifestyle they desire.
