Highly skilled artisans at the Alexander Marine boatyard in Koahsiung, Taiwan handcraft each Ocean Alexander 610 Pilothouse. The pride in their craft is obvious. Wood joints are glued and secured by screws, and parquet teak decks have a clean look (no wood plugs). The counter tops lay flat, and all fiberglass surfaces have a polished gelcoat finish. The Ocean Alexander 610 Pilothouse is loaded with standard features, including modified semidisplacement hulls and planing hulls that deliver superior performance, comfort, and great fuel economy. This hand-laid fiberglass hull is constructed by our expert artisans using only the finest materials available. The unique balsa core technology - used on the hull sides, topside, and superstructure - adds strength, reduces vibration and noise, and is very watertight. Also, anti-fouling black paint is applied to the hull bottom. Other standard features include trim tabs, engine hour meters, hinged fiberglass radar mast, cedar-lined closets, deck lights, swim ladders, platforms, and lighted stairways.
Accommodations and Layout
There are three staterooms down below. All are forward of the engine room.
The master is aft with en-suite head and shower to port, centerline queen berth with
nightstands and reading lamps and fine cabinetry throughout with vanity on starboard.
Forward are closets with ample storage and a concealed washer/dryer combo.
Forward to port is the smaller of the three staterooms with two stacked bunks and desk with
book shelves.
Forward again is the VIP suite with centerline queen berth and private access to the second head
and shower. From the landing you go up the winding staircase into the pilothouse where the
wrap around dinette is located in the perfect spot for socializing.
The galley is directly across on starboard with stairs down to the salon and up to the bridge in
between. Stepping down and aft enters the main salon. A large sofa on starboard with love seat
at the head of the salon, two large swivel seats to port and one large recliner aft. At the aft end
of the salon is a large sliding glass door accessing the aft deck with forward facing seating, built
in Jen Air BBQ and sink.
From here you can access the engine room, swim step, bridge or bow from starboard or port
