Description
Highlander is a well-maintained C. Raymond Hunt designed 2006 40' Albin North Sea Cutter. She offers low-hour twin Yanmar main engines, new Onan 9 kW generator, beautiful interior fit and finish and a large, flybridge with bimini top. Her 17' 5"' height and 4' draft make her a Great Loop capable cruiser. Her seller has wrapped up their cruising plans, so Highlander is now seriously for sale.
Highlander is a two Stateroom, two Head layout with the Salon and Galley on the deck level. The interior is bright and airy with Teak and Holly soles and fine woodwork throughout.
**Lots of recent updates including: new batteries, new AC pump, new shaft seals and new exhaust elbows

This new concept in speed, performance and layout was developed from the fast patrol boats of the North Atlantic where treacherous seas continually test a vessels seaworthiness. There can be no compromises with these boats and the Albin 40 North Sea Cutter is no exception. At the heart of this Cutter you will find the latest development in design. The hull's sharp entry, allows for a smooth ride in pounding surf and overall engineering enables easy handling in head, following and quartering sea conditions. The design concept of the Cutter class sets the Albin 40 North Sea Cutter apart from conventional cruisers in terms of both seaworthiness and performance. This is a "no nonsense" vessel for the Yachtsman who respects high performance under the most adverse conditions at sea. Dependable, twin diesel engines are standard. Capable of mid 20 knot speeds with her Yanmar 370HP engines. The Albin 40 North Sea Cutter is remarkably stable and maneuverable.
Redefining Interior Comfort. Once you've boarded the 40 North Sea Cutter, you'll find an interior layout that is far from that of a conventional yacht. For example, the Primary Owner's Stateroom is located forward of the Main Salon. Its Island Queen Berth is on the centerline and features wide walkarounds. This Stateroom also features an ample enclosed En-Suite Head to starboard, and a separate enclosed En-Suite Shower to port, with plenty of storage.
The Main Salon is bright, uncluttered and very accommodating. An L-Shaped settee is opposite a well-equipped Galley. A fully equipped lower helm is to the starboard side. There are two opening side doors leading out to their respective side decks. Toward the stern, the full beam Aft Cabin with its own private En-Suite Head is a versatile space. It can be a Den or Library for liveaboards, so it can expand the utility of the Salon. Or it becomes a Guest Stateroom or a Bunkroom for children. It’s large U-Shaped Settee with its foldout and lowering table with filler cushions becomes a full-sized berth.
The aft Aft Cabin door opens to a generous full-sized Cockpit. That’s very unusual and welcome in a Trunk Cabin style vessel. Great for dock line handling, dinghy boarding, swimming, fishing, etc. A few steps up on starboard side is the entrance up to the Trunk Cabin deck, and then up several more steps is the Isinglass Enclosed Flybridge with a fully equipped second Helm Station and plenty of seating and storage.
The Albin Cutter is an innovative concept in performance and luxury. For the Yachtsman who wants more than just another cruiser, Highlander is the one to consider. Take the helm of the Albin 40 North Sea Cutter and you take command of one of the finest vessels on the market today.
