Description

Steiger Craft were born and bred to be work horses. Built originally in traditional Yankee style, the first of the Steigers were all-wood, and built for the northern bays to conch, scallop, and clam. In the 1980s construction moved to hand-laid fiberglass hulls and stringers, and the boats were used heavily in law enforcement and towing operations for their rugged reliability and strength. Downeast in its styling cues, the trusty Steiger 21 is one of the first hulls created by the company and has lasted the test of time. This boat is no exception. This is a 1-owner boat that has been lightly used, and serviced locally by the dealer of origin. This 21 Miami DV offers the best-in-class and size for cockpit room, and maneuverability. It can be packed full of fishing equipment, lounge chairs, or the family and pets for a quick getaway. Its shallow draft and deadrise hull means this Mercury-powered boat can handle a sea well, or you can enjoy a day on the sandbar with no hesitations.

NEW BRAKES AND BEARINGS ON TRAILER

2011 STEIGER CRAFT 21 DV MIAMI WALKTHROUGH

Boarding easily from the engine platform, or by port or starboard gunwale, you are introduced to the Steiger Craft's very generous fishing cockpit. There is ample storage throughout the cockpit. On the transom you will find a 2-sided fishbox. There are several compartments in the cockpit, as well as rod-storage which can also be utilized for the other tools of the trade, be it a boat pole, gaff hook, etc etc. Several steps toward the bow, and you enter the helm area, which has a 360-degree captains chair at the wheel, and a bench offset to port for guests. This bench also contains the house batteries. The cabin can be fully enclosed with snap-in vinyl or canvas around the king starboard cabin frame, but has remained open during its use by the current owner. Just forward of the steering station, is the entrance to the lower cabin. The lower cabin, while utilitarian, can sleep two. The original seat covers and cuddy cabin cushions endure, and remain in great shape. The originality of this boat remains intact, and has never had any accessories added or removed.

2011 STEIGER CRAFT 21 MIAMI DV ACCOMMODATIONS

This boat offers room for two below via the cuddy cabin, with added space topside adjacent to the helm for a reading nook/sunlounging spot

2011 STEIGER CRAFT 21 DV MIAMI HELM

Primary Purpose's helm is offset to starboard in the main cabin, and is complete with easy access to the boat's instruments. The captain has a command 360-degree view of the boat in its entirety due to large and expansive side glass, and unobstructed views looking aft.

2011 STEIGER CRAFT 21 DV MIAMI FISHING COCKPIT

The boat boasts 11 rod-holders, be it 5 on the fiberglass hardtop. and two on each side of the rear cockpit. There is a cooler incorporated to the rear of the cabin which also has a vinyl seat built in. There is plenty of room astern should a table with rocket launchers want to be added, or a fighting chair. On the transom, there is an incorporated and double-sided cooler/fishbox.

2011 STEIGER CRAFT 21 DV MIAMI DECK EQUIPMENT

From the bow to stern, there are (6) cleats, being 3 per side. The bow cleats are directly behind the solid bow puplit, and are affixed on the centerline of the boat. The side cleats are pop-up as to keep decks uncluttered, and are accessible right at the rear of the cabin so that captain/crew can throw a hasty spring line out and still remain in the cockpit of the boat. The two rear cleats are affixed to the gunwales all the way aft.

The boat's very light weight has never seen the requirements of a windlass, but the bow pulpit has a roller for your ease of hauling in the anchor/anchor rode by hand, or for the added ease should a windlass be affixed at some point.
