The solid hull, sturdy rig, bulwarks, and stainless steel ports have made this model very popular. Oglethorpe is available in Wilmington NC well below market value. She is in good structural shape, the sails and cushions have been garage kept and the interior is clean and dry and offers quality cruising amenities. Oglethorpe needs some TLC but is priced right. Main Description

The Seaward/Hake 25 is a very well built, shallow draft, pocket cruiser. These boats were built with features usually only found on much larger vessels. The solid hull, sturdy rig, bulwarks, and stainless steel ports have made this model very popular. Oglethorpe is available in Wilmington NC well below market value. She is in good structural shape, the sails and cushions have been garage kept and the interior is clean and dry and offers quality cruising amenities. Oglethorpe needs some TLC but is priced right. Seaward 25 Decks

On Deck Oglethorpe has a sturdy bowsprit with anchor roller, oversized Furlex roller reefing system, and self-tailing winches. The side decks are wide for a vessel this size and stations of good height make going forward safe and easy. The gel coat is oxidized but free from cracks or other damage.

Cockpit

In the cockpit there is cushioned seating for 4-6. There is a raised helm seat at the binnacle with wheel steering, compass and engine controls. The battery switch is located in the large watertight locker to port. The depth sounder is placed conveniently in the lower hatch board.

Accommodations

Oglethorpe has a large companionway with 2 steps down to the main cabin. The layout is open with galley to port and quarter-berth to starboard and private head and V-berth forward of the salon. The Galley has an Origo 2 burner stove, large basin with bronze hand pump, cutting board and ice-box. The versatile salon has comfortable seating for 4 and can be converted to additional berth. There are 6 opening ports for ventilation.

Mechanical and Electrical

Oglethorpe is wired for 12 volt DC and 30 amp AC shorepower.

Oglethorpe has an Honda 9.9 outboard motor on a lifting bracket. The motor has not been run recently. It needs work and is offered as is.
