Boatel I is a 1998 65' AMT custom trawler in nice condition. She offers a single Cummins 220 HP main engine, Marathon Electric Magna Plus 18 kW generator, MaxPower bow and stern thrusters, passive stabilizers, Xantrex 3,000 watt inverter, AIS and a 4 stateroom 3 head layout, plus much more. Boatel I would make a perfect liveaboard or long range cruiser, which she has already proven to date. Boatel I has spent a combination of eight winters in Canada in the water as a liveaboard and nine winters in The Bahamas and Florida. From the fiberglass swimplatform, you enter the cockpit via the transom gate and find steps to the sundeck to port and a door to the aft companionway to starboard. Step up onto the sundeck and you will find a wood dining table and six chairs, side deck access on each side, ladder to the flybridge port forward and double Mahogany & glass doors to the salon. Once inside the salon, you will find a sofa, lounge chair and coffee table to port, two lounge chairs and end table to starboard, entertainment center/storage cabinetry port forward and then the galley further port forward and the dining table starboard forward. Walk further forward and enter the pilothouse, where you will find a side deck access door on each side, helm forward and steps centerline forward to the lower deck. Step down to the lower deck to find a guest stateroom on each side forward and a guest head with enclosed shower centerline forward. Walk aft and you will find a guest stateroom to port and then the engine room followed by the master stateroom port aft.
The headroom in the salon is 6'6", 6'5" on the flybridge, 6'8" on the sundeck, 6'4" at the dining table, 6'7" in the galley, 6'9" in the pilothouse, 6'3" in the master stateroom, 5'10" in the master stateroom shower, 6'3" in the VIP guest stateroom, 6' in the VIP guest stateroom shower, 6'9" in each forward guest stateroom, 6' in the guest shower and 6'3" in the engine room.
The height from the waterline to the top of the mast is 24' and with the mast lowered it is 19'9" to the top of the flybridge bimini and 16'8" with the bimini and davit lowered.
65' AMT Accommodations
Boatel I offers a master stateroom aft with a queen size berth and ensuite head with a tub/shower; a guest stateroom to port with a double size berth and ensuite head with enclosed shower; and two guest staterooms forward with a double size berth in each. The guest head is forward of the two guest staterooms. The black leather sofa in the salon converts to a double size berth also.

Curtis Stokes was born in Lewes, Delaware and grew up in nearby Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and St. Michaels, MD until he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1992. Curtis grew up on the water and around boats through many years of fishing, sailing and hunting up and down the East Coast of the U.S. and The Bahamas.
While attending Washington College, in Chestertown, Maryland, Curtis decided to obtain his real estate license and joined his father’s real estate firm, Anderson-Stokes Realtors. Curtis became president of the firm after his father’s death and led the company through its expansion to 20 offices and expanded the publicly traded company into insurance, advertising and development. The company was sold in 1991 and Curtis decided to pursue his real love of the water and made yachting his career.
Curtis’ yachting career includes everything from a 75’ Trumpy to a 180’ Feadship, 2½ circumnavigations and a half dozen Atlantic Ocean crossings. He has been associated with and enjoyed worldwide cruising on such well known vessels as EXCELLENCE, FIFFANELLA, OUR TOY, MOECCA, RENEGADE, KISSES and HUNTRESS. Curtis also gained experience as sales manager at Hatteras Yachts, in New Bern, NC, where he helped develop and sell new models and train and coordinate his dealer network.
Curtis then spent six years as a very successful yacht sales broker with The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, Inc. Curtis was consistently a top producer at the firm. Curtis decided to form his own yacht sales and charter firm September 1, 2009, which took off on a very successful start, even in a recession! Curtis has grown the company to multiple offices and 50 full time sales associates located around the US; and he has sold virtually every type and size of yacht and boat possible.
Curtis held a USCG 3000 ton All Oceans Master license, UK MCA Class IV Master certificate, Cayman Islands Master certificate and a PADI Divemaster certificate. He is also a former Emergency Medical Technician, firefighter and CPR instructor.
Curtis is an active member of the America’s Great Loop Cruiser Association (AGLCA), Superyacht Society, United States Superyacht Association, Marine Trawler Owner Association (MTOA), DeFever Cruiser Club, Seven Seas Cruising Association, Billfish Foundation, International Gamefish Association and Ducks Unlimited.
Curtis also is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB), a member of the International Yacht Broker Association, Yacht Broker Association of America and the Northwest Yacht Broker Association.
