Description
The 42 Grand Banks needs no introduction. The Indigo Falcon is a distinguished iconic timeless vessel reflected by her reputation. She is known as one of the most successful trawlers ever built. Her hull is sturdy with fiberglass construction and her long keel will ensure better performance and an efficient seaworthy cruise. She has been very well maintained and owner operated by a mechanic, ensuring superlative maintenance of the twin Lehman diesel engines. Additionally, many upgrades have been added such as new cushions, 50 watt solar panel, new compressor for the refrigerator, all new house batteries, fitted sheets for the v-berth, new Bimini, new anchor chain (150 ft), and an overthrow bag and medical kit. The indigo Falcon is perfect for cruising the Great Loop or a quick hop to the Florida Keys or the Bahamas and beyond.
She is powered by twin Lehman 135 hp diesel engines, well known for being fuel efficient and reliable. The large engine room can be accessed from either the forward stateroom or the many different removable floor panels. Below, one will also find a Onan 7.7 kw generator with 6403 hrs, 5 - Racor fuel filters (2 inline) 3 - 8D main and house batteries in frp boxes, 1 - 4 D generator battery replacement in frp boxed, 1 Sentry battery charging system, 1 Cat 10000 watt power inverter, 1 - 20 gallon hot water heater, 1 - Splendide 200 washer/dryer combo, and plenty of storage and space to work and walk around in.
Stepping aboard, access to the inside of the vessel can be found on either port or starboard side with the 2 sliding doors. Upon entering the cabin, you will be greeted with a spacious salon area with 6'4' headroom. The interior is renowned of a classic Grand Banks, including Bermese teak and parquet soles. In the main salon you will find the lower helm with a spoked teak wheel, as well as engine controls, dual gages, VHF radio, compass, circulatory and electrical panel, and controls for the windless (electric and manual). The dining area includes a large sofa and settee, providing ample comfort while underway or at dock. The galley area includes a stainless steel sink, solid surface countertop, a Princess electric stove with oven, and a refrigerator with a new compressor. Each built in seating areas provides plenty of storage below. The dining table is like-new and has storage for decanters and the like.
The Owner's cabin (aft) is accessed via a companionway and includes an abundance of storage and space. This cabin boasts a large sleeping area at 11'2 x 12'8' with 6'2 headroom. To the port side there is an extra-large berth and on the starboard side is a double berth, both with plenty of storage underneath. This cabin also has a large walk-in shower, head, and porcelain sink with a high-pressure laminate countertop. The guest cabin, located forward in the V-berth, comfortably sleeps 2 and includes A/C. It also has a lot of storage space, including a hanging locker and drawers and cabinets. There is a standing head and shower, providing ample room to move about.
The Fly Bridge features a large seating area (with new cushions) and is shaded with a new Bimini top. The Mercury tender is lifted and released utilizing a motorized and cordless control lifting crane and takes only "3 minutes" to get in and out of the water. The helm station is outfitted with a Garmin Echo Map 50s Chart Plotter, Furuno Radar, Robertson Auto Pilot, Standard Horizon VHF Radio, Danforth Constellation Compass, Full VDO Engine instrumentation, and a teak wheel. The anchors include 1 Delta 75 lb Plow, 1 Danforth 15 lb w/150 ft. anchor chain. Anchors are utilized with the horizontal windless with wildcat with foot controls. Shore power connections, fore and aft, and there is a freshwater wash-down station with hot and cold water.
