The Grand Banks 49 Classic offers spacious and attractive accommodations for the cruising family or as many as three couples. The Grand Banks 49 Classic is a solid, stable, economical platform well known for it’s quality construction, fittings and finish. From flybridge to keel, she has many features that provide practical cruising pleasure. This 49 Classic was custom ordered from American Marine with an original interior layout with original and tasteful fabrics. Numerous custom features!

Accommodations

“VIOLETTE” is a Classic Grand Banks 49’ with a standard floorplan. With about 125 built during her production years, she was considered a serious long range cruiser with the characteristic trawler profile and the quality craftsmanship typical of all Grand Banks. She has a three-stateroom layout with the master cabin located aft with a custom walk-around modified King-Size berth with custom hydraulic lifts to access an abundance of storage under berth.  There is a remote start in the master stateroom for the generator and also a Datamarine Dart display. The ensuite head has a separate stall shower; Vacu-Flush head; full-size washer/dryer in separate compartment.  There is a substantial amount of drawer and hanging locker space in this cabin. There is also access to the aft deck.

Returning to the salon the galley is located on the port side with individual cold-plate refer/freezer compartments; double stainless steel sink; cooktop and oven; ample counter space for preparing meals on the hook or underway; large L-settee on port-side with fixed folding leaf table; large flat panel TV mounted aft of lower helm. The lower helm is located forward and starboard with double bench style seat providing good visibility while underway. Continuing forward and down the guest head is on port with separate stall shower and Vacu-Flush marine head. On starboard is guest cabin with individual single berths and a custom top and front loading freezer compartment (ideal for those long excursions). Continuing forward is the other guest cabin with large V-berth. Access to the stand-up engine room is gained via the pull-up stairs or via floorboard and ladder.

Outside full walk-around decks make line handling and securing a mooring an easy task. The flybridge is accessed from the starboard side and here you will find a large entertaining area; double back-to-back bench seats with a slight custom modification for the Captain’s helm. There is a full-size DCS Professional propane grill mounted on a custom teak cabinet.

Galley

The galley is located along the port side of the salon. It offers plenty of food preparation space, large double Kohler sink and Grohe faucet, teak drawer and bulk cabinet storage space, also the optional overhead dish lockers. The galley offers the chef a panoramic view while preparing a meal. There are also a total of 4 refrigerator/freezers on board.
