46' Marine Trader Vessel Walkthrough

From the aftdeck, you can walk out either side deck to the salon or foredeck; or you can step up a small stainless steel & teak ladder the trunk cabin and then step up to the bimini and Eisenglass enclosed flybridge. Walk forward on either side deck and enter the salon via a side deck access door. Entering the salon via the port side door, you will find the lower helm starboard forward, wrap-around seating with a hi/lo table starboard aft, full-beam master stateroom companionway port aft, side deck access door to port and custom storage cabinetry port forward. Walk forward and step down to find the galley to starboard and a dinette to port. Continue to walk forward into the guest stateroom. Engine room access is via salon sole hatches.

The headroom in the salon is 6'8", 7'2" on the flybridge, 6'8" in the guest stateroom, 6'6" in the guest stateroom head, 6'5" in the master stateroom and 6'4" in the master stateroom shower. The master stateroom berth is 6'5" long and the guest stateroom berth is 6'3" long.

The height from the waterline with the mast up is 22', 17'5" to the top of the bimini and 14'6" to the top of the flybridge windscreen.

46' Marine Trader Accommodations

Scout offers a full-beam master stateroom aft with a centerline queen size berth and ensuite head with an curtained stall shower; and a guest stateroom forward with an island queen size berth and ensuite head. The salon settee can serve as a single size berth also.

The salon offers custom storage cabinetry (2022) port forward, a side deck access door on each side, wrap-around seating with storage and a hi/lo table (2021) starboard aft, storage cabinets, opening side windows with screens and curtains, aft windows with curtains, bound carpet over a teak parquet sole and engine room access. Cushions were updated to Sunbrella in 2022. Curtains and carpet were installed in 2022. LED lighting upgraded in 2021.

The full-beam master stateroom is aft and offers a centerline queen size berth with a 2022 8" inner-spring mattress, reading lights, nightstand, a hatch and doors with steps to the aftdeck, opening side and aft windows with screens and curtains, storage cabinets and drawers, hanging locker, bound carpet over a teak parquet sole, desk/vanity, full-length mirror and an ensuite head with a curtained shower stall. There was new paint, teak paneling and carpet in 2022. New reading lights and custom overhead LED lighting in 2021. The ensuite head was updated in 2021.

46' Marine Trader Guest Stateroom

The guest stateroom is forward and offers an island queen size berth, teak parquet sole, storage drawers, hanging locker, shelves, fans, anchor chain locker access, 2 portlights with curtains, overhead hatch and an ensuite head. There was new wood trim and carpet in 2022. New custom overhead LED lighting in 2021. Ensuite head updated in 2021.

Curtis Stokes was born in Lewes, Delaware and grew up in nearby Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and St. Michaels, MD until he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1992. Curtis grew up on the water and around boats through many years of fishing, sailing and hunting up and down the East Coast of the U.S. and The Bahamas.

 

While attending Washington College, in Chestertown, Maryland, Curtis decided to obtain his real estate license and joined his father’s real estate firm, Anderson-Stokes Realtors. Curtis became president of the firm after his father’s death and led the company through its expansion to 20 offices and expanded the publicly traded company into insurance, advertising and development. The company was sold in 1991 and Curtis decided to pursue his real love of the water and made yachting his career.

 

Curtis’ yachting career includes everything from a 75’ Trumpy to a 180’ Feadship, 2½ circumnavigations and a half dozen Atlantic Ocean crossings. He has been associated with and enjoyed worldwide cruising on such well known vessels as EXCELLENCE, FIFFANELLA, OUR TOY, MOECCA, RENEGADE, KISSES and HUNTRESS. Curtis also gained experience as sales manager at Hatteras Yachts, in New Bern, NC, where he helped develop and sell new models and train and coordinate his dealer network.

 

Curtis then spent six years as a very successful yacht sales broker with The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, Inc. Curtis was consistently a top producer at the firm. Curtis decided to form his own yacht sales and charter firm September 1, 2009, which took off on a very successful start, even in a recession! Curtis has grown the company to multiple offices and 50 full time sales associates located around the US; and he has sold virtually every type and size of yacht and boat possible.

 

Curtis held a USCG 3000 ton All Oceans Master license, UK MCA Class IV Master certificate, Cayman Islands Master certificate and a PADI Divemaster certificate. He is also a former Emergency Medical Technician, firefighter and CPR instructor. 

 

Curtis is an active member of the America’s Great Loop Cruiser Association (AGLCA), Superyacht Society, United States Superyacht Association, Marine Trawler Owner Association (MTOA), DeFever Cruiser Club, Seven Seas Cruising Association, Billfish Foundation, International Gamefish Association and Ducks Unlimited.
