OCEANIA 40 SUNDECK TRAWLER - R & R - WALKTHROUGH
SUNDECK:
Boarding the yacht from the port or starboard side deck the sundeck is found aft and entered through inward swinging glass paneled doors. The sun deck features a teak deck with plenty of space available for entertaining in this bright and airy section of the boat. Stairs to the fly bridge are center forward with the stairs to the salon adjacent to the right, with the wet bar to the left. The wet bar features a sink with hot & cold running water, an ice maker, shelving, a storage cabinet and a 120 vac/12 vdc outlet.
The full beam swim platform is accessed via a gate and ladder located in the aft starboard corner. The deck is fully enclosed with a hard top and canvas-eisenglass curtains, and is large enough to easily stow a couple of bikes and still have plenty of room for a table and chairs.
FLYBRIDGE:
Moving up to the flybridge the helm is center mounted forward and features captain’s chair, full controls and instrumentation. Bench seating runs almost the full length of the bridge port and starboard. The fly bridge is enclosed by a Bimini top with full canvas-eisinglass curtains forward and on the port and starboard sides. A hinged radar arch is mounted aft, with the tender and davit behind.
SWIM PLATFORM:
The swim platform is accessed from the sun deck by two steps and a ladder. The platform includes a fold away swim ladder and shower with hot and cold running water.
SIDE DECKS & BOW:
The side decks and bow are enclosed by a teak and stainless steel railing. There are gates on the side decks, just ahead of the sun deck. Stainless steel hand holds are mounted on the cabin side along the side decks. A search light and hailer horn are mounted on the forward cabin top. At the bow there is a deck box, fender racks and Jack Staff. The anchor is roller mounted on a bow pulpit and is serviced by an electric windlass.
SALON:
The salon, as well as the rest of the yacht’s interior, features a teak parquet floors under carpet and wonderful teak paneling, joinery and appointments. Descending stairs from the sun deck a sofa is found to port, along with a table and chair with ottoman. Access to the aft stateroom is next to the sofa at the aft bulkhead center. Moving forward, on the port side there is a breakfast bar. The helm station with bench seat is opposite on the starboard side with an additional chair behind. Between the helm and breakfast bar are the stairs to the galley and dinette. The salon is wrapped on 3 sides by large windows with blinds that provide plenty of light and panoramic views.
GALLEY/DINETTE:
The galley and dinette are three steps down from the salon, with the galley to port and the dinette to starboard.
The U-shaped galley features a 3 burner electric stove/oven, with cutting board cover. A microwave is top mounted above the stove with a refrigerator/freezer opposite. A double stainless steel sink with hot and cold running water is next to the refrigerator/freezer. Multiple cabinets and drawers offer plenty of storage above and below the large countertop. The deck is teak parquet.
The dinette is found on the starboard sided and is comprised of two bench seats opposite each other, separated by a pedestal table. The configuration can convert to a double bunk.
FORWARD CABIN:
The forward cabin is entered from the galley. Over/under bunks are located along the port sided; the top one converting to a double. Opposite is a bench and vanity. There is a hanging locker aft of the bunks. Additional storage is found under the lower berth and in the vanity. Entry to the ensuite head is opposite the hanging locker. The deck is teak parquet under carpet.
FORWARD CABIN ENSUITE HEAD:
The forward ensuite head includes an in-counter sink along the starboard hull, with an electric marine toilet in front, to the left. A full length mirror is opposite the toilet. The head doubles as a shower and features a teak grate deck.
AFT STATEROOM:
The stair into the aft stateroom is found in the salon at the aft bulkhead. The full beam stateroom features a center mounted queen bed and ensuite head. Built-in teak cabinetry provides bed side tables, drawers, storage lockers and counter tops. On the starboard side there is a vanity with swing out stool. Forward of this is a large hanging locker. There is a counter on the port side, with a mirror above. An additional full-length mirror is mounted on the forward bulkhead. Entrance to the ensuite head is found on the port side forward of the counter. The decks are teak parquet under carpet.
AFT CABIN ENSUITE HEAD:
The aft cabin ensuite head features an in-counter sink with hot & cold running water along the port hull. Two lockers, with mirrored sliding doors, are found above the counter, with additional storage beneath. There is another mirror mounted on the aft bulkhead. The shower stall is opposite the countertop with an electric marine toilet located between the shower stall and the counter at the forward bullhead.
ENGINE ROOM:
The engine room is located under the salon and is accessed through hatch under the galley/dinette stairs and by large hatches in the salon floor.
