Ted Evans bought his first boat when he was in the 5th grade! Ok, it was made of hard plastic and only 4’ long, but it was big enough to take him down the Minnehaha Creek in Minnesota, He was hooked! Since then, he has owned numerous power and sail boats, for the past 40 + years, in Michigan and Florida where he has boated the Great Lakes, the waters of South Florida, the Florida Keys and a good part of the Great Loop. Boating is a major part of his life, which led him to a career as a yacht broker.

Ted is a member of America’s Great Loop Cruisers’ Association (AGLCA). Additionally, he currently holds a USCG Master Captains license and is a Licensed Florida Yacht Broker.

He has successfully worked in sales and marketing for a major commercial and industrial building material manufacturer, as well as successfully owning and operating a large commercial / industrial roofing contracting business. These experiences have allowed him to become well versed in negotiating and getting things accomplished. His customer / clients’ have always been his first priority, working to do whatever it takes to reach the desired objectives in a timely manner.

Ted has spent the past ten years in the Southwest Florida area in the winter months, cruising with his significant other, Lynn (admiral), on their 36’ Tiara, and summer months in Michigan. He’s willing and able to travel between both locations when needed, or wherever needed, which is easily accomplished due to the proximity of nearby major airports, to meet the needs of his clients.

With his experience, knowledge and tenacity, Ted looks forward to assisting new and experienced boaters find and purchase the boat that is best suited to their requirements and needs, while keeping their financial parameters in mind. His marketing skills and knowledge coupled with Curtis Stokes and Associates years of experience, will work to expedite the sale of your current boat or yacht when it’s time to find your next boat.
