The 1990 Californian 52' Cockpit Motor Yacht "Gizmo" represents the latest Californian model that was buil at the Rocky Point North Carolina Factory under the guidance of John Adams, former Hatteras Director of Operations, and other key industry talent.

Latest model factory attributes such as white gel coat, wrap-around bridge helm dash and helm area storage, fiberglass stringer system in lieu of wooden stringers, aluminum framing in the engine room overhead, an appealing balance of teak wood accents, solid surface counter tops and other subtle features. Every room has opening windows or port lights for fresh air!!!

Two Staterooms each with ensuite head with separate shower. Tub/shower in the master head. A truly versatile and sizeable seven foot long cockpit that features direct door access to the aft cabin, room for a storage deck box and lazarrette area that allows for easy access to the aft bilge, steering and rudder posts, storage, and expanded fuel capacity. And the ever popular engine room space with access via the galley steps.

The standard basic mini fridge was replaced by an LG washer dryer combo    (2022). Custom upper cabinet that augments the factory cabinet. Teak accents (fiberglass was standard , the teak was an upgrade.

"Gizmo" features a well designed and constructed solid Aft Deck Enclosure with opening windows with bug screens, three large framed windows looking aft, and a swing door entry from the cockpit with a custom "invisible" screen door installed 2022. Custom side door bug screens snap on both wing doors (2022).
