SERENITY is a rare 1979 Island Gypsy 44' Pilot House. A very spacious Great Loop capable vessel offering economical cruising or living aboard. Accommodations and Layout

Upon entering the covered aft cockpit from transom door or over gunnels the is a floor hatch to a huge lazarette with storage shelving and engine room access. The port side has a wide tread ladder to flybridge hatch. To cockpit starboard is a sliding door to the salon, the galley is midship along the starboard side of salon with a day head forward, a full-size desk with chair centerline forward; aft is a convertible sofa and a reclining upholstered chair; mid ship to port is a large cabinet with front opening access. A ceiling fan offers light and circulation. To port a seat over a freezer, teak parquet, and tile flooring. The two forward staterooms are "down" with access stairs through the pilothouse. The forward cabin has "v-berths" with an enclosed head with shower, the master stateroom has a walk around queen size berth, separate head, and shower. The pilot house has deck access doors on each side, centerline helm seat, with an "L-shaped" lounge aft. Forward and side decks are accessed from pilothouse sliding doors. The forward deck is spacious with built in seating area and custom cushions. The spacious flybridge is accessible from the side decks or ladder from the cockpit. There is room for deck chairs, large dock box storage, propane locker, built in seating to both sides of helm. The dock box, locker, and built in seating have custom cushions for added comfort. Helm seat in center line. There is a bimini top with cover for storage and a full tonneau cover for the helm area. The entire aft flybridge area has safety railing with canvas insert top to bottom.    

Salon

To cockpit starboard is a sliding door to the salon, the galley is midship along the starboard side of salon with a day head forward, a full-size desk (vessel manuals and records) with chair centerline forward; aft is a convertible sofa and a reclining upholstered chair; mid ship to port is a large cabinet with front opening access for small appliance storage and a small settee hiding a Engle frig/freezer. The forward salon wall has huge storage areas with door access and a small closet to port and a wall mounted 32’ LCD television.  A ceiling fan offers light and circulation. The floor is teak parquet, with tile at the cockpit entrance. A room size rug offers ambiance and nonskid. Head room is 7’4”. Ceilings/overhead are fabric and brightwork with AC and DC lighting fixtures. 

The day head is located starboard of salon with full size Kenmore washer and dryer, electric head, water maker control panel, house water gauge and valves. 

Galley

Galley is on starboard side of salon with Formica countertop, large porcelain sink, with Norcold refrigerator w/freezer; an auxiliary Engle frig/ freezer, Galley Maid 3 burner propane stove; Kenmore washer dryer located in day head; combination built in microwave convection oven; large pull-out pantry; to port is a breakfront storage cabinet ideal for small appliances. 

Pilothouse

The pilothouse offers great visibility, sliding side doors, window and door sun covers, L shaped lounge/berth, full electronics, helm chair, under helm large storage, audio control center and starboard stairs to “down” staterooms.

Lin Earley was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. At age 12 while fishing the tidal waters of Elizabeth River in a 14 ft. skiff, he fell in love with boating. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Lin’s first career was in finance and banking. His last position was regional president for Bank of America in the Hampton Roads Virginia market.
