The Morgan 32

Morgan 32- A Yacht by Every Definition (1983)

The Morgan 32 has established herself as a yacht for the true sailor, capable of sailing any sea with supreme authority. she is seakindly in a blow, yet she is responsive in light air.

And the Morgan 32 is distinguished by features rarely standard in yachts her size. Features that describe her a a very proper Yacht. This classic Ted Brewer and Jack Corey design has a solid teak bulwark cap defining her sweeping sheer and the hull is protected by full length polished stainless steel rub rails. Teak dorade boxes with stately chromed cowls are available, providing fresh air below in any weather. And her eight opening ports assure the comfort of you and your crew.

A teak eyebrow accentuates the lines of her coach roof and is complemented by solid teak cockpit coamings. Traditionalists can have teak gratings in the cockpit and a bell shsaped helmsman seat that is comfortable at any angle of heel. Her two speed Lewmar 40 ST winches and the mainsheet traveler conveniently position on the coach roof make shorthanded cruising a delight. This sheeting arrangement also permits the installation of a larger bimini top, present on this boat.

The magic continues when you step below in the 32. You will discover features previously associated with larger custom yachts. Her interior is sensibly arranged to give a feeling of openness. The quality of Morgan's joinerwork highlights the warmth of her wood interior. Varnished light ash distinguishes her hull sides in the main salon enriching her warm teak interior. Her main salon features a beautifully finished dining table set on a varnished teak and holly sole. Free movement of air is assured with the addition of numerous louvered teak doors.

Your entire crew will rest in comfort on her large berths and a teak passageway door transforms the forward berth area into a private state room. And for those offshore passages, the new chart table with generous storage and a comfortable convertible seat will be appreciated by the bluewater sailor.

But there are many more new features that contribute to greater comfort and performance. Touches that resulted from listening to what serious sailors wanted in a yacht. And many features that will never change like the top quality construction Morgan built into every sailing yacht. The Morgan 32 reflects this commitment to the highest standards in the industry with such features as hand laid up hull and molded internal lead ballast which is fiberglassed in, giving a double bottom system for extra protection. Her rigging is so strong that it exceeds the demands of the toughest customer in the world, the professional yacht charterers. Morgan has delivered more charter boats to these very demanding buyers than any other builder.

In short the Morgan 32 is for the serious cruising sailor who appreciates performance, seaworthiness, comfort, and craftsmanship in his yacht. And she is for the sailor who may also use his yacht for club level racing- and wants to win.

The Morgan 32 represents all the essential ingredients of a true Yacht without compromise- a statement of her success... AND YOURS!

What makes a Morgan a Morgan? (1983)

For over two decades, Morgan yachts has established a tradition of designing and building the finest and brightest range of yachts. As the nation's second oldest builder, and one of the largest sailboat builders in the world, we have assembled a dedicated staff of the most capable and experienced boatbuilders whose skill and pride are impeccably ingrained into every Morgan Yacht we built. We not only employ the finest craftsmen, we also use the finest materials. And the superb detailing you cannot see. In our laminating process, we use a high glass to resin ratio. The more glass to resin, the stronger the part. A Morgan's ballast is 100% lead, cast molded and internal, fiberglassed in, giving a double bottom system to rpovide extra protection. The bulkheads and cabinetry are secured with fiberglass, creating a unitized construction for a tremendous stiffness and structural integrity. All wiring meets ABYC standards and plumbing is crack and freeze resistant polybutylene. When it comes to rigging we use incredibly heavy chainplates, turnbuckles, shrouds, and spars.

Finally our quality control is unique in the industry. In addition to a contious in-process inspection program, each yacht is floated in our test tank and all systems thoroughly inspected to ensure you the best product available. And every Morgan sold is upported by the best customer service program in the industy. It all add up to the highest resale value when yoiu cide to trade or sell.

Our pledge to you is simple: to assure you a a yacht engineered for quality, performance, durability and longevity. In brief, to provide you with the very finest value available in the yachting industry today.
