View Full DetailsMainship 30 Pilot Sedan
The Mainship 30 Pilot Sedan is a hardtop version of the Mainship 30 Pilot introduced a year earlier. With her distinctive retro styling and semi-enclosed helm and bridge deck, the sedan offers the weather protection absent in the express-style pilot. Built on a solid fiberglass semi displacement hull with a prop protecting keg, the Pilot is suited to a variety of uses. A large cockpit makes the Mainship a great fish or dive platform and her economical operation and comfortable accommodations appeal to weekend cruisers. Don't look for a lot of glitz in the Pilot, this is a basic boat with modest amenities and good workmanship. Below, the cabin was originally set up with a V-Berth/dinette forward, full service galley, good sized head, and a teak and holly sole. In 2003, the series II Pilot featured and updated cherry interior and a revised cabin layout with a V-Berth that fold in half when not in use. For improved handling the Series II also incorporated a shortened keel, prop tunnel and larger 5 blade prop. A swim platform, transom door and bow pulpit are standard. Early models with a single 170hp Yanmar diesel will cruise at 14-15 knots. Serious II models with a 315hp Yanmar diesel will cruise at 17-18 knots (low 20's top)
