Description

The Bayliner 4087 is a popular cruising model with three staterooms and two heads. It is suitable for America’s Great Loop with its 18’ bridge clearance. The layout is perfect for two cruising couples with the cabins separated by the salon, as well as a large dinette. The cockpit allows for easy line handling as well as extra outdoor space for fishing, diving, and other water sports.

The current owners of Flounder Beach are the fourth owners. They own a charter fishing business on the Gulf Coast of Florida, but wanted to spend some private time in the Bahamas. They have completed that adventure, and are ready to move on.

Previous owners completed America’s Great Loop; the vessel also cruised in the Chesapeake Bay before coming to Florida. Flounder Beach has been a live-aboard vessel for multiple owners. An aft cabin motor yacht with a cockpit, an enclosed aft deck and flybridge, three staterooms, two heads, and an inside helm – this vessel can do it all!

1999 Bayliner 4087 Aft Cabin Motoryacht Swim Platform, Cockpit and Aft Deck

The swim platform on Flounder Beach holds the tender which conveys with the vessel. The tender davit system is manual and was installed 02/2022. The engine mount is to port. There is an integrated swim ladder, and a grab bar mounted on the transom. There are four rod holders in the gunnel. The dockside water connection is on the transom at the swim platform.

The transom door opens in to the cockpit which features: a non-skid deck, an access hatch for the lazarette, a mounted Magma grill, a hot/cold transom shower, a step up to the aft deck ladder with storage, and a mounted boat hook. The cockpit is perfect for fishing or diving, or just adding a chair for relaxing. The lazarette houses the generator and has a good deal of storage space. A spare anchor with chain and line is in the lazarette.

The large fully enclosed aft deck on Flounder Beach is four steps up from the cockpit to starboard, and is the perfect place to add a table and chairs for alfresco dining. It has a non-skid deck. There are two large storage boxes which convey with the vessel. The full enclosure has some Eisenglass windows which need to be resewn. Fishing rod holders are mounted on the hardtop ceiling. Large easy-to-navigate steps to the flybridge are to starboard, and there are two roll up doors which lead to the sidewalks leading to the foredeck and bow. A smoked glass sliding door leads to the salon below, and a window looks down into the galley from the aft deck.

There is a protected 110V electrical outlet on the aft deck, as well as a ship’s bell, two stereo speakers, and courtesy lights on the steps from the cockpit and to the flybridge.

The roomy and open fully enclosed flybridge is four steps to starboard up from the aft deck. It features two captain chairs with Bayliner insignias. An L-shaped settee with Bayliner cushions is to port and aft. The port section has storage under the cushion. The forward Eisenglass windows were replaced in 2021.

The helm has four integrated cup holders; a locking cabinet to port houses the VHF radio and stereo/radio. A fire extinguisher is mounted to starboard. The helm station on Flounder Beach also features: a Ritchie compass, a Hawkeye digital depth sounder, searchlight control, a Raymarine Hybrid Touch Multi Function Display, a Raymarine autopilot, and a Garmin chartplotter.

A 410W solar panel with smart controller is mounted on the aft deck hardtop.

1999 Bayliner 4087 Aft Cabin Motoryacht Foredeck and Bow

Flounder Beach has sidewalks leading to the foredeck and bow on both sides. There are convenient hand holds which aid in moving about the vessel. Canvas “doors” lead from the aft deck. The sidewalks are two steps down from the aft deck. Diesel fills are on both the port and starboard sidewalks. The fresh water fill and dual dockside electrical connections are to starboard. The pumpout connections are on the aft deck and the starboard sidewalk.

There is a bow pad with the Bayliner insignia that covers the forward stateroom hatch when it is in place. There are fender racks for seven fenders mounted on the foredeck rails. The Lewmar electric windlass with foot controls is at the pulpit. A storage cabinet with a drain is flush with the forward deck. A searchlight and burgee pole is also located on the bow pulpit. A galvanized Rocna anchor makes up the ground tackle.

1999 Bayliner 4087 Aft Cabin Motoryacht Hull

Flounder Beach was hauled out of the water in April 2022 for a bottom job. The shafts were straightened and the props were repitched to 22 x 18.7”.

There are three LED lights in the ceiling over the dinette on Flounder Beach. There are two storage cubbies in the outer bulkhead wall at either bench. A small opening window is at the dinette table. There is also a 110V electrical outlet, and the control for the reverse cycle AC/heat unit.

An Insignia TV is free standing forward of the dinette, under the windshield. There are two stereo speakers forward, at the windshield.

MASTER STATEROOM

The master stateroom on Flounder Beach is four covered steps down from the salon to starboard. The sculpted full/queen-sized berth is athwartship from starboard. There is a large hatch aft which opens to the cockpit. An opening portlight is to starboard. The sole is neutral carpeting; the walls and headliner are neutral vinyl; there is 6’5” of headroom. There are mirrored bulkheads.
