JEFFERSON 52 MARQUESSA MOTOR YACHT
INFORMATION
The Jefferson's 52 motor yacht combines pre-Med styling with an important issue; it's a motor yacht that a husband and wife can operate without a crew.
There also is a lot to be said for a boat with timeless good looks, impressive use of space, and straightforward interior arrangement.
This is the extended deck-house version. The essential difference between this and the deck-house version is that the side decks narrow to about 10 inches abaft the wing doors, which lead into the wheelhouse amidships. This is a nice compromise. It affords a wider saloon (almost a wide body) and still allows you to go out and rig fenders and spring lines when docking.
The owner's stateroom aft has more stowage than most homes do, 11 drawers, 11 shallow cabinets, a hinged lid make-up table with a mirror (but no stool), and two hanging lockers around the queen-sized bed with a 6-inch-thick mattress.
All the woodwork is silky, hand-rubbed teak; many board feet of it. The cabin soles are teak parquet, except in the heads.
Large opening ports and plenty of built-in overhead lighting are augmented by Jefferson's generous use of beveled glass mirrors.
