Vessel Walk Through

Boarding The Dawg House is easiest by way of the side gate from a floating dock. From there you can go forward to the foredeck, straight into the side door to the salon or up three molded in steps to the aft deck. The aft deck is surrounded by rail to deck canvas and gets shade from a bimini top mounted aft of the radar mast. Located on the port at aft is a stainless steel and teak step ladder leading down to the swim platform and dinghy davits. From the aft deck you can move up a two teak step stainless steel ladder into the enclosed flybridge or three steps down either side to the side deck sliding side doors and forward to the foredeck. Up on the flybridge is a L shaped settee aft and to port with storage below and two pedestal mounted captains seats center and to starboard. The port side door leads into the port aft of the salon and the starboard leads to the lower helm station. The foredeck is spacious, free of obstacles. There are rail mounted storage racks for fenders and shade coverings for the windshield and black out shades also on board. The large covered bow pulpit houses two anchor chutes and is equipped with a windlass and a washdown. Once inside the salon there is a futon to starboard and a single seat at the navigation desk aft and to port. Large hatches in the sole of the salon allow easy access to the engine room below and all of the windows allow lots of light panoramic views. Above is a beautiful gel coat head liner trimmed in teak. The galley is forward and to port equipped with a large refrigerator, a Princess 3 burner stove/oven, stainless steel sink and storage drawers and cabinets with a large two stool bar with a glass rack above. The lower helm station is forward and to starboard with easy access to the starboard side door and side deck. Moving forward in the salon past the galley and lower helm are steps leading down to the guest cabin with a hanging cabinet and storage to port and private head with sink, separate shower and teak flooring to starboard. Forward is a queen size v berth with storage and drawers below. The main cabin companionway is located aft and to port of the salon with steps leading down to a very spacious aft cabin with an island style queen size berth with storage below, to port is a large hanging cabinet and ample storage and to starboard is another hanging cabinet, a private head with sink, separate shower and teak flooring, and a writing desk with drawers and storage starboard to aft.


Head room in the salon is 6'5''and in the galley is 7'4''. 6'4'' in the forward cabin and 6'2'' in the forward head. 6'2'' in the aft cabin and 6'1'' in the aft head. The forward shower head room is 6'4'' and the aft shower is 6'2''. The forward V berth is 6'3'' and the aft berth is 6'.

Accommodations

The Dawg House offers a guest cabin forward with a queen sized V berth with a private head with separate shower. The salon has a full size futon sofa to starboard. The main cabin is to aft and offers a island style queen size berth and a private head with separate shower.

Salon

The salon offers a lot of light and space for movement. Easy access to the control panel to starboard and the engine room via hatches in the sole. Seating to starboard on futon, forward to port at the bar with two stools or a single seat near the port sliding side door.

Galley

The galley is port and forward is the salon.

Flybridge

The flybridge offers a carpeted deck, full enclosure canvas, L shaped seating to the aft and port with storage below, a stainless steel and teak step ladder down to the aft deck, captains seats center and to starboard with controls center and in easy reach.

Aft Deck

The aft deck offers a large bimini top for shade, stainless steel rod holders, radar mast, hand rail to deck canvas, stainless steel and teak step ladder down to swim platform and dinghy davits, three molded in steps down to both port and starboard side decks, stainless steel and teak steps to flybridge.

Curtis Stokes was born in Lewes, Delaware and grew up in nearby Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and St. Michaels, MD until he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1992. Curtis grew up on the water and around boats through many years of fishing, sailing and hunting up and down the East Coast of the U.S. and The Bahamas.

 

While attending Washington College, in Chestertown, Maryland, Curtis decided to obtain his real estate license and joined his father’s real estate firm, Anderson-Stokes Realtors. Curtis became president of the firm after his father’s death and led the company through its expansion to 20 offices and expanded the publicly traded company into insurance, advertising and development. The company was sold in 1991 and Curtis decided to pursue his real love of the water and made yachting his career.

 

Curtis’ yachting career includes everything from a 75’ Trumpy to a 180’ Feadship, 2½ circumnavigations and a half dozen Atlantic Ocean crossings. He has been associated with and enjoyed worldwide cruising on such well known vessels as EXCELLENCE, FIFFANELLA, OUR TOY, MOECCA, RENEGADE, KISSES and HUNTRESS. Curtis also gained experience as sales manager at Hatteras Yachts, in New Bern, NC, where he helped develop and sell new models and train and coordinate his dealer network.

 

Curtis then spent six years as a very successful yacht sales broker with The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, Inc. Curtis was consistently a top producer at the firm. Curtis decided to form his own yacht sales and charter firm September 1, 2009, which took off on a very successful start, even in a recession! Curtis has grown the company to multiple offices and 50 full time sales associates located around the US; and he has sold virtually every type and size of yacht and boat possible.

 

Curtis held a USCG 3000 ton All Oceans Master license, UK MCA Class IV Master certificate, Cayman Islands Master certificate and a PADI Divemaster certificate. He is also a former Emergency Medical Technician, firefighter and CPR instructor. 

 

Curtis is an active member of the America’s Great Loop Cruiser Association (AGLCA), Superyacht Society, United States Superyacht Association, Marine Trawler Owner Association (MTOA), DeFever Cruiser Club, Seven Seas Cruising Association, Billfish Foundation, International Gamefish Association and Ducks Unlimited.

 

Curtis also is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB), a member of the International Yacht Broker Association, Yacht Broker Association of America and the Northwest Yacht Broker Association.
