BENETEAU 393 - SKYFALL - WALKTHROUGH

COCKPIT:

The spacious cockpit features seating for 9. The helm features a leather wrapped folding Lewmar wheel, allowing ease of movement around the cockpit when at anchor or dock side.  The helm is completed by a magnetic compass, Raymarine instrumentation, autopilot, VHF radio, 12 vdc receptacle and engine controls.  A folding table and cup holders are mounted to the helm pedestal.  Stereo speakers are found under the aft seating.  The engine control panel and a manual bilge pump are mounted on the port side.  

The helmsman’s seat folds down to reveal a deck level walkthrough to the swim platform, where a swim ladder, deck shower and shore power sockets are found. 

Two Lewmar ST48 2-Speed self-tailing winches for foresail trim are mounted on the cockpit coamings.  Two additional Lewmar ST30 2-Speed self-tailing winches for running rigging trim are coach roof mounted on either side of the salon companionway.  

Storage lockers are found at the transom, starboard and undeath the port seating.  The propane locker is on the port side aft. 

The cockpit is protected from the sun and sea by a full enclosure; dodger, Bimini, connector and side curtains.

TOPSIDES:

Moving forward the deck is protected by stainless steel stern and bow rails connected by dual lifelines running the length of the deck; stainless steel gates are found at the cockpit. Stainless steel hand holds run along the cabin top, port and starboard. An anchor locker is found at the bow along with a bow mounted delta anchor.  The electric windless is mounted in the anchor locker along with a wash down spigot and a spare spade anchor. Cleats are found at the bow, midships and at the stern. There are five opening hatches on deck along with three fixed portlights.  A stainless steel arch with two solar panels is found above the cockpit.

 The dual spreader, masthead rig features a roller furled headsail and in mast furled main sail with a mechanical boom vang. The main sheet is mounted on the cabin top and all running rigging leads aft to the cockpit. 

SALON:

Appointed with cherry joinery, overhead hatches, windows and portlights, the roomy salon is warm, bright and inviting.

Entering the salon from the cockpit the galley is found to port and the head to starboard. The aft cabin is accessed through the aft bulkhead on the starboard side and the forward cabin through forward bulkhead. Seating is provided by a U-shaped settee on the port side with a centerline bench.  The settee features a large table that can be configured to create a double berth. The nav station is found on the starboard side aft with a credenza running forward the length of the salon.  Hand holds, fans, reading lamps and 120 vac outlets are found on the port and starboard sides.  A flatscreen TV and a ship’s clock and barometer are mounted on the forward bulkhead.  Finally stereo speakers are overhead mounted by the forward bulkhead. 

Two lockers and a shelf are found behind the settee, while opposite on the starboard side a credenza features a tabletop with multiple drawers and lockers below and a single locker above.  Additional storage found beneath and behind the settees. 

LED lighting is found overhead along with two opening ports and two fixed ports with curtains, three fixed windows with sliding shades, and two opening hatches with retractable screens/shades.  Two additional hull mounted fixed ports providing even more light. 

NAV STATION:

The forward facing nav station is found on the starboard side of the main cabin, just forward of the head and features a chart table with lift top, curved bench seating and a chart light.  The electrical panels are found at the nav station, along with a vhf radio, stereo system, battery charger, solar, inverter control panels, a 120 vac outlet and overhead lighting. 

GALLEY:

The U shaped galley features a two burner stove with oven center mounted in the port side countertop. Three lockers and two cubbies with a shelf atop are found above the port counter, along with a 120 vac receptacle. There is a drawer and locker below and a top loading locker forward. The aft counter features a top loading freezer and a front-loading refrigerator.  A microwave, paper towel holder, ac vent and fan are mounted above. A double stainless steel sink with hot and cold running water is mounted in the forward counter extending from the port side to midship, with a locker below.

AFT CABIN:

This cabin is found aft of the head on the starboard side and features cherry joinery and a double berth. Upon entering there is a hanging locker with shelf atop on the starboard side. This is followed by the berth, that extends under the cockpit. Shelving extends along the aft and forward bulkheads.  Ventilation is provided by are two opening ports, two fans and air conditioning. Two reading lamps are mounted above the berth, with additional lighting overhead.  A fixed port light provides additional light to the cabin. 

FORWARD CABIN:

Located forward of the main cabin, this cabin features cherry joinery and a double berth on the port side. Upon entering the cabin there is a hanging locker with shelf atop on the starboard side, followed by a bench seat. A double berth is found opposite, on the port side with a shelf running its length above. There are two fixed ports with curtains on either side of the cabin with two opening hatches with retractable screen/shade overhead.  There are three overhead lamps and a 120 vac outlet.  Ventilation is provided by the opening overhead hatch, a fan and air-conditioning.  

FORWARD HEAD: 

The ensuite head is located forward at the bow.  Upon entering the manual marine toilet is found directly ahead at the forward bulkhead, with a shower wand mount above.  The sink with hand hold and shower wand/ faucet is on the starboard side with a mirror and mirrored medicine chest above and a locker below.  Opposite on the port side there is a shelf with hand hold and a locker below and mirrored medicine chest above. There is an opening hatch with retractable screen/shade overhead.  Lighting is provided by two overhead lights. Towel hooks are mounted on the aft bulkhead and door. 

AFT HEAD: 

The aft head is located on the starboard side by the cockpit companionway. Upon entering the manual marine toilet is found at the aft bulkhead with two towel hooks above. The sink with hand hold and shower wand/ faucet is forward on the starboard side with mirrored medicine chest above and a locker below.  A mirror and shower wand mount are on the forward bulkhead. There is an opening port w/shade above the sink.  Lighting is provided by two over sink lights and an overhead light. 

ENGINE COMPARTMENT:

The engine compartment is found under the cockpit companionway stairs.  Forward access is provided by raising the stairs, aft and side access is found in the aft cabin.

BENETEAU 393 – SKYFALL – DECK & HULL

The hull is solid fiberglass with a structural inner grid and fiberglass floors. The deck is balsa cored. The fiberglass work on deck features an intricate molded nonskid pattern and the soft curves that are visually pleasing and structurally sound. There is a complete deck liner, or head liner, which encapsulates the upper sections of the bulkheads. The keel is externally fastened with stainless bolts, and the mast is deck-stepped with a compression post.
