Produced between 1975 and 1983, the 42 Post Convertible is a Jersey style sport fisherman with a modified V configuration.

42 Post Vessel Walkthrough

Martini & Me is accessed via the cockpit on either the port or starboard side by means of removable teak stairs with non -skid surfaces. Once on board the spacious cockpit, the salon access is through a centerline single sliding door.

Entering the salon, you will find a full-size futon style sofa on the port side with a rectangular padded ottoman fronting the sofa. Forward of the sofa there is a port side end table with a storage locker underneath.

Across from the sofa you will find a leather club style chair on the starboard side and a fixed end table with storage beneath. Forward in the salon at centerline, there is a wet bar, with a large counter spanning the centerline. Above the counter there is a double locker, and a flat screen TV.

Moving forward to port, three steps down will place you in the galley, further forward the master stateroom, and a bath are to starboard. The companionway then brings you forward to the guest berth in the bow.


Engine room access is through the salon floor via four removable hatches.


Headroom measured throughout all living areas on board is consistent at 6'5"

This measurement was also found in the full bath and stall shower.


42 Post Accommodations

Martini & Me features a master stateroom mid ship on the starboard side. The stateroom features a queen size bed and ensuite access to the bathroom with enclosed shower. A guest stateroom is forward featuring 2 single bunk style beds to port side.

42 Post Salon

The salon offers a full-size futon style sofa to port. There is a padded rectangular shaped storage ottoman fronting the sofa. Forward of the sofa there is a fixed end table with a storage locker beneath the counter.

The starboard area features a fixed end table at the entry door with storage beneath, a leather club style chair is under the starboard openable window. Forward in the salon is a centerline bar area featuring a large counter, wet sink, a large storage wall locker, and a flat screen smart tv.

Windows throughout the salon are fixed except for the openable starboard side window. Window treatments are pleated shades (new 2022)

An area rug is covering the salon laminate flooring and engine access hatches.

Post 42 Galley

The down galley is port forward.

42 Post -Master Stateroom

The master suite is mid ship on the starboard side. It features a queen size (77'x 60") bed and a single nightstand with storage. The stateroom features ensuite access to the bath with stall shower. There is a single openable port light on the starboard side wall with curtains and a single ceiling openable hatch above the bed at center. The room features 2 hanging lockers and 2 large storage drawers underneath the bed on the port walking area of the bed. 2 reading lamps are found on either side of the hardwood-stained headboard.

42 Post Guest Stateroom

The guest stateroom features twin single bunk style berths to port. Each measure 77" x 28". Each berth has a small reading lamp. There are 2 hanging lockers, a separate wall locker and three drawers for storage. There is an openable ceiling hatch and an openable port light on the port side of the upper bunk.

The berth features both air conditioning and electric heat.

42 Post Flybridge

The flybridge has ample seating for 7 and storage throughout. The helm station is aft with 2 Pompanette ladder back chairs with cushions. There is a large, cushioned bench seat on the port side with storage underneath. Forward of the helm seat is a second cushioned bench seat also with ample storage underneath. Forward of the bench seat there are two openable storage lockers into the brow of the deck. Therev are stainless grab rails found throughout the bridge area. The area is enclosed with newer Isinglass (2021) trimmed in navy Sunbrella.

42 Post Cockpit

The spacious cockpit features ample area for fishing or relaxing. There is a fixed teak table centerline. A fishing/tackle station is port forward and it features ample tackle storage drawers and bins. The station also has a fresh water sink and built-in cutting boards. Cap rails are finished Teak with built in rod holders. Access to the cockpit is via movable teak stairs with non-skid surfaces. There is a fresh water and salt water washdown on the port side. Newer spotlights illuminate the area for nighttime The nonskid deck and surround areas have been recently painted (2022).

  • Epever MT 50 remote system monitor
  • (2) Everstart 24mxs marine batteries

The system is located in the salon aft on the starboard side in a built-in storage cabinet.
