BESTWAY 40 SUNDECK TRAWLER – B-ATTITUDE – WALKTHROUGH

SUNDECK:

Boarding the yacht from the port or starboard weather deck the sundeck is found aft and entered through inward swinging plexi-glass doors. The sun deck features a teak deck with plenty of space available for entertaining in this bright and airy section of the boat. Stairs to the fly bridge are center forward with the stairs to the salon adjacent to the right.  

The full beam swim platform and tender davit is accessed via a gate and ladder located in the aft starboard corner.

The deck is fully enclosed with a hard top, windows and canvas-eisenglass curtains, and is large enough to easily stow a couple of bikes and still have plenty of room for a table and chairs.


FLYBRIDGE:

Moving up to the flybridge the helm is center mounted forward and features captain’s chair and mate’s chair, full controls and instrumentation and a refrigerator. Bench seating runs along the starboard side. The fly bridge is enclosed by a hard top with full canvas-eisinglass.  A radar arch is mounted aft, 


SWIM PLATFORM:

The swim platform is accessed from the sun deck by a ladder.  The platform includes a fold away swim ladder.  A tender davit is installed above the platform.  


WEATHER DECKS & BOW:

The weather decks and bow feature a teak deck and are enclosed by a teak and stainless steel railing. There are gates on the weather decks, with third gate found at the bow on the starboard side. Stainless steel hand holds are mounted on the deck house side along the weather decks. A search light and hailer horn are mounted on the fly bridge coaming.  At the bow there are fender racks, wash down spigot and a Jack Staff. The anchor is roller mounted on a bow pulpit and is serviced by an electric windlass. 


SALON:

The salon, as well as the rest of the yacht’s interior, features a teak and holly soles and teak paneling, joinery and appointments. Descending stairs from the sun deck a sofa is found to port with an Ottoman and flat screen TV opposite on the starboard side. Access to the aft stateroom is next to the sofa at the aft bulkhead. Moving forward, on the port side there is a breakfast bar.  The lower helm station is opposite on the starboard side.  Between the helm and breakfast bar are the stairs to the galley.  The salon is wrapped on 3 sides by windows that provide plenty of light and panoramic views. 


GALLEY:

The U shaped galley is four steps down from the salon on the port side and features a 2 burner ceramic top electric induction stove, a microwave top mounted above the stove with a large refrigerator/freezer to the right.  To the left is a porcelain sink with hot and cold running water.  Multiple cabinets and drawers offer plenty of storage above and below the large countertop. 


FORWARD CABIN:

The forward cabin is entered from the galley. A double berth is located along the starboard side, with a desktop with drawers and storage locker below and above is opposite.  Additional storage is found under the berth.  Entry to the ensuite head is found at the forward bulkhead. 


FORWARD CABIN ENSUITE HEAD:

The forward ensuite head includes a countertop sink with mirror above along the starboard side.  A porta-potty marine toilet is found forward center, with a medicine cabinet and chain locker access above.  Additional storage is provided by shelving along the port and starboard sides.   This is a wet head that doubles as a shower.  NOTE: Holding tank and plumbing to install permanent head remain aboard.


AFT STATEROOM:

The stair into the aft stateroom is found in the salon at the aft bulkhead.  The full beam stateroom features a center mounted queen bed and ensuite head. Built-in teak cabinetry provides drawers, storage lockers, counter tops and shelving.  A vanity with a mirror and lighting is found at the forward bulkhead portside.  Hanging lockers are port and starboard of the berth. Entry to the ensuite head is found on the starboard side forward. 


AFT CABIN ENSUITE HEAD:

The aft cabin ensuite head features an in-counter sink with hot & cold running water along the starboard side.  A mirror is mounted above the counter with  storage lockers beneath and to the left.  A n electric marine toilet located at the forward bulkhead.


ENGINE ROOM:

The engine room is located under the salon and is accessed through hatch under the galley stairs and by large hatches in the salon floor.

A native of Miami, Florida Jason grew up around boats and boating.
