BROKERS WALK THRU

A very rare American made Californian 46 LRC. Sellers have owned for 11 years. Purchased in New York and used Primarily as a live aboard in the Florida Keys for Nearly 10 Years. She is now located in a slip in Punta Gorda Florida. Sellers have bought a house on the east coast and they are moving on to the land lubber lifestyle.

Boat is very dry and solid. There are no noted leaks in any of the windows. Engines are reportedly strong running and fired up very impressively from a cold start as can be seen from an included video in this ad. Engine room is spartan, but very roomy and accommodating to get around and work in.

Exterior topsides were just painted with a rubberized epoxy nonskid and feels very durable should last a long time. Entry doors to Port, Starboard and the Bridge allow great ventilation and easy access to and from the interior from anywhere on the boat. Large heavy duty port lights also give this boat excellent ventilation when needed.

The interior is ready and can be move into. It is in need of some work. Sellers had interior carpet removed so that can be replaced or preferably I would go to a more modern wood flooring. There are other odds and ends that could use a touch up that can be noted that will follow in the full specs.

Yes, it needs some work. What old boat does not? This boat may need a little more than some. But the main things... The overall construction and engines seem to be all in great order for her age. So, in some respects, it needs much less than others.

Sellers want a quick sale, and she is priced well. Fuel consumption should not be an issue with any trawler you buy.

Get me a fair offer with a quick sale, this boat will be yours in a heartbeat!

SELLERS TO DO WORK LIST

Below is a list of things that are in need of being done by a new owner depending on cruising and or live aboard habits.

 1) There are six aluminum fuel tanks on board. Being a very fuel-efficient boat 4 tanks were rarely used and currently the flow valves turned off. The 4 bottom fuel tanks need to be re-polished if extended cruising is being planned. A local fuel polishing company gave him a recent estimate of $80 per tank. There is currently about 400 gallons of fuel on board.

2) Lower helm does not shift. It never has. Or at least it did not when he bought it. many boats do not have a lower helm station. They lived aboard and boated in fair weather conditions. Helm works fine other than shifting, If serious cruising is in the plans or in bad weather climates, this may need to be addressed.

3) All the gauges in the upper helm were replaced two years ago. for whatever reason the tachometers just started sticking. Those are something that should be addressed soon. Could be a fuse, a loose wire, or a new tach is about $100 to $150 each.

4) Anchor Windlass. There is one, that is a huge bonus. It needs rebuilt or replaced

5) There is no working Stereo or TV on board.

6) The Glaring thing to me. But certainly not anything operational or functional is the interior flooring. There is none. It is plywood, it is solid it is not rotten, and nothing is wrong with it, it is cosmetic. They used carpeting. That is a cheap quick fix. In the long haul I would spend some time and money use a nice modern laminate wood flooring. You could add really good value to this boat if done right. I have actually seen boats appreciate in value when this is done.

7) Hydraulic Steering has a small leak. Nothing glaring. Nothing Unusual... O-rings need changed

8) Foreword Head Compartment. Stand Up Shower is not hooked up to the Fresh Water Tank. If you are a cruising couple this may be a non-issue. If you have kids on board, you are going to want to hook it up.
