DEFEVER 49 CBMY - AT LAST - WALKTHROUGH

SUNDECK:

Entering the sundeck through gates on the port or starboard side, you are struck by the amount of space available here for seating and entertaining in this bright and airy section of the boat. At the forward section of the sundeck there is a center mounted wet bar w/propane storage and washdown spigot. Next to the bar on the port side a window opens from the galley, for easy pass through of refreshments. To starboard, a stairway is found leading up to the flybridge and to starboard of this the door and stairway down into the main salon. On either side, access to the decks leading to the bow is found. Stairway access to the cockpit is aft, on both the port and starboard sides. The sundeck is covered by a hard top with overhead lighting and removable sun/wind screens. The deck is surrounded by a stainless steel railing with weatherboards and features a round table and four chairs.

SIDE & FORE DECKS:

The side decks are accessed one step down from the sundeck and, along with the foredeck, are enclosed by stainless railing atop raised gunwales. Two fender racks are mounted on the railing at the bow. Four mid-ship hawse cleats are found two port and two starboard, with two additional hawse cleats at the bow, port and starboard. The foredeck features a custom stainless steel double bollard, electric windlass, a stainless steel bow plate under double anchor rollers and a wash down spigot. Along the cabin superstructure there is a bench seat with storage lockers and a hatch to the forward stateroom. A hailer horn and air horn are mounted on the forward flybridge coaming.

FLYBRIDGE:

Moving up to the large flybridge there are port and starboard bench seats for six and an adjustable table. The helm is found forward of this, complete with captain's chair and additional bench seating for four. The fly bridge is protected from the sun by a full Bimini top and enclosed by isinglass curtains forward. Overhead a fold down radar arch houses antenna above and lighting below.

Aft of the flybridge, tender stowage atop the sun deck roof is accessed by a two step ladder and features a custom fitted tender cradle, a lift davit and electric winch. A kayak is stored along the port side of the flybridge.

COCKPIT:

The roomy cockpit is accessed from the sundeck via twin staircases w/courtesy lights on the port and starboard sides. The cockpit features a transom gate opening to the full beam swim platform w/swim ladder, hand held shower with hot and cold running water, BBQ grill, 4 hawse cleats, a lifesling and a throw ring. A teak caprail surrounds the cockpit and a large transom locker is accessed via a deck hatch. There is a hatch to the aft stateroom found on the forward bulkhead along with stainless steel grab rails. Retractable 50 amp shore power service is found under the port stairs, with two 30 amp sockets found at the starboard stairs. The cockpit is an invaluable feature that provides great functionality when docking and boarding from low/floating docks or a tender. Also a terrific platform for fishing and water sports, many owners are surprised by the degree of convenience and functionality an aft cockpit offers.

INTERIORS:

DeFever's are known for their high quality interior finishes and "At Last" is no exception. All interior spaces are fitted with satin finished teak paneling and joinery. The floors are teak parquet, topped with rugs and carpeting is some areas. The vinyl padded ceilings are held in place with teak molding & batten strips. Overhead 12 vdc lighting, complimented with lamps and 120 vac outlets are found throughout the yacht. The result is a warm, inviting and classic nautical atmosphere that is missing in many modern vessels.

SALON:

Descending stairs to the main salon from the aft deck, the U-shaped galley is found immediately to port. Continuing past the galley into the salon the lower helm is located on the starboard side forward. Next to the helm is a door opening to the side deck, for easy access during docking maneuvers. An additional side deck door is found on the port side aft, just forward of the galley. The companionway to the forward cabin is to port of the helm, followed by a countertop on the forward port side. Cabinetry runs along the starboard side housing a dry bar forward, electrical panels aft and storage lockers in-between. A flat screen TV is mounted above. The aft section of the salon features a countertop passthrough to the galley. The salon is surrounded on 3 sides by large windows providing sweeping views, which are fitted with custom wooden blinds. The absence of built-ins affords the ability to outfit the salon with free standing furnishings of choice; currently reclining swivel chairs, ottomans and stools.

GALLEY:

The galley, located on the port side aft, was fully upgraded in 2013 with all new appliances, custom cabinetry and no drip Corian countertops. Along the forward bulkhead there is a bank of custom slide-out cabinets and a large passthrough countertop to the salon. One freezer and three refrigerator drawers are found below, along with a set of drawers. Additional storage lockers and a wine glass rack are mounted above the counter. Along the port side a 4 burner propane stove is counter mounted with a dishwasher below and a convection microwave oven above, along with additional over counter storage lockers. Another large countertop extends along the aft side, and includes an integral sink w/countertop insert and a chef style faucet. More storage is found below and above the countertop. Two large windows allow for plenty of natural light, with one opening to the aft deck for easy passthrough of refreshments.

AFT STATEROOM:

The stairs to the aft stateroom are found just inside the galley, to the right of the stairs to the sundeck. The master stateroom is a full beam accommodation featuring a center mounted queen sized berth. Built in cabinetry provides side tables, with lockers and chests of drawers running the length of the cabin on the port and starboard sides. The ensuite head is found forward on the port side and features a marine vacuum head, sink and separate shower. On the starboard side forward is a laundry closet featuring a washer and dryer. Six opening ports, three starboard and three port and a Bomar evacuation hatch on the aft bulkhead provide plenty of light and air.

AFT STATEROOM ENSUITE HEAD:

The ensuite head is found at the forward port side of the aft stateroom. It includes a no drip Corian counter along the forward bulkhead featuring an integral sink and single lever faucet with hot and cold running water. A large mirror is mounted above the counter. A Vacuflush head is found on the port side with the separate shower opposite. A shelf runs along the port side with an opening port above. Towel racks are mounted on the aft bulkhead. Storage lockers are found below, to the right and left of the sink, with an additional locker found above the head.

FORWARD STATEROOM:

Moving forward through the salon, the guest stateroom is found down a stairway in the bow section of the yacht and features a v-berth that can be configured as two separate bunks or as a single large berth. Shelving runs the length of the berth on the port and starboard side, with access to the anchor locker and a TV found at the forward bulkhead. Ventilation is provided by four opening ports and an overhead hatch. An en-suite wet head is located at the aft starboard side of the cabin. Lockers are found under the v-berth and in the port aft section of the cabin, where engine room access is also found through a door in the aft bulkhead.

FORWARD STATEROOM ENSUITE HEAD:

The forward ensuite head, which doubles as a shower, is found in the aft starboard side of the forward cabin. It features a Corian no drip counter with an integrated sink. Storage lockers are found below the counter and to the right. An over counter locker is topped by a shelf with an opening port above. A Vacuflush head is located at the aft bulkhead. The wet head features a MOEN showing system with a shower wand found next to the head and a curtain rail overhead. Two towel racks are mounted on the inside bulkhead with a mirror mounted on the forward bulkhead.

ENGINE ROOM:

The engine room is large and roomy, with very high head room for a boat of this size and layout; affording easy access to all the yacht's mechanical systems for operation, routine maintenance and repair.
