Description

The vessel completed a three year extensive refit by Newport Harbor Shipyard from 2012 to 2016, where she was completely stripped down to bare wood, engines and fuel tanks removed, then refit by the shipyard. Upgrades included encasing the hull bottom in fiberglass, a complete paint job throughout with LP paint, new custom stainless hand rails, new teak decks, new larger swim platform, rebuilt flybridge and flybridge seats, new bimini top with extension, and all new canvas and cushions. Custom interior cabinetry by top shipwright and custom stainless topsides. Two new factory remanufactured Ford Lehman 140hp fresh water cooled six cylinder diesels with dripless shafts. Northern Lights 8KW generator with air conditioning and heat. Bow thruster for ease of docking at both stations. Current owners have upgraded and maintained the vessel like new since purchasing her in 2019.

Full Description

Galley:

The U shape galley is forward to port in the salon. There is a Force 10 Euro/Kewra 3 burner glass cook top with a Contour microwave/ convection oven below. There a a stainless Adler Barbour counter high refrigerator, a stainless Isotherm refrigerator freezer, and a black fiberglass sink set into the tiled counter with a pull out faucet. There are storage lockers below the galley area. Below the forward windshield are two large spaces for dishes glassware, etc. 


Accommodations:

One enters the cabin from the large aft teak deck through double doors. The salon has sliding windows all around with screens and pull down shades providing light and air.

To port is all cabinet followed by a single settee with new mattress (2021) with three drawers below. Opposite to starboard is an L shaped settee with storage below. These settees were extended (2020) to provide greater comfort. Interior upholstery replaced (2020). There is a teak hi-lo table which has inlaid wood on double stainless mount refit for new space. Floor covering is tasteful over a sound shield surface.  

Continuing forward to port is a raised breakfast bar, with custom bullet lights overhead and a stainless refrigerator freezer. The counter tops throughout the vessel are designer matched tiles. Forward of the breakfast bar is the U shape galley. Lower helm to starboard with a side deck access door. The helm has complete control with instruments and gauges.

Down three teak steps to staterooms and heads. These steps are hinged to provide engine access below stairway. Starting forward aft of the chain locker is a spacious berth with a custom cover and sheets (2020) and drawer storage below. Shelves and slide open screened windows P&S. A Bowmar hatch overhead on center. A large hanging locker to port with the forward head to starboard. There is a Weems and Plath ships clock on the forward bulkhead. A pocket door for privacy and space. 

The guest stateroom to port has a large single berth with two drawers below. There is a small shelf, a mirror and locker with two drawers and a double door cabinet below, a shallow hanging locker and a Bowmar opening hatch. There is also a slide open screened window. The cabin sole is a teak parquet and the doors to heads and cabin are pocket doors to save space.

Deck and Topsides:

Summer Solstice has beautiful cream colored LP painted hull sides with a stainless caped rub rails. The side decks are covered overhead and have teak handrail inboard and teak cap rail with stainless stanchions. There is a custom stainless bow pulpit with a teak anchor platform. The Lewmar stainless 4416 20KG claw anchor is on a Lewmar heavy duty windlass with up and down deck switches and anchor wash. The cabin top is painted Grand Banks beige with white trim. The forward windshield has wipers. The entire foredeck, side decks with a step down, and aft deck has custom teak overlay. The large aft deck has lazarrette storage with custom teak seating and tables. Hot and cold hand held fresh water shower. There is a boarding gate leading down to an oversized swim step. Custom stainless dinghy davits (2020) hold a new Achilles hard bottom center console 10'4" dinghy (2020) with a Honda electric start and tilt outboard (2020). Forward to port on the aft deck are stairs up to the spacious flybridge. The flybridge has the helm to starboard with large bench seat. To port is double bench seat and both seating areas face forward and aft and have storage below. Custom stainless hand rail throughout the flybridge (2021).There is a stabilizing mast and cargo boom with line on purchase to a Harken #6 winch.Two lounges with cushions for comfort. Bimini top extended aft with weather cloth around entire bridge (2020).
