40' Mainship Vessel Walkthrough

From the fiberglass swimplatform, you enter the hardtop covered aftdeck via the transom gate. Once inside the aftdeck, you can walk out either same level side deck, step up the molded-in steps to the flybridge or walk through the double aluminum & glass doors to the salon. Once inside the salon, you will find the galley to starboard, lower helm and side deck access door starboard forward, two stressless lounge chairs and an ottoman with storage to port and a dinette with a benchseat and stools port forward. Walk forward and step down into the companionway to find the guest stateroom to port, master stateroom forward and the head with an enclosed shower to starboard. Engine room access is via salon sole hatches.

Headroom in the salon is 6'6", 7' on the flybridge, 6'1" in the master stateroom, 5'10" to 6'4" in the guest stateroom/storage and 6'3" in the shower. The master stateroom berth is 6'2" long, the guest stateroom inboard berth is normally 5'10" long and the guest stateroom outboard berth is normally 6'5" long, but this stateroom has been modified into storage, but it could be converted back.

The height from the waterline to the top of the mast light is 17'6" and 12'6" to the top of the windscreen.

40' Mainship Accommodations

Jagger offers a master stateroom forward with an island queen size berth and direct access to the head and enclosed shower; and a guest stateroom to port originally with side by side single berths that have been removed for more storage space. this area could be converted back into a full stateroom. The head has access from the companionway, in addition to the master stateroom, and is across the companionway from the guest stateroom.

40' Mainship Salon

The salon offers two stressless lounge chairs, end table and an ottoman with storage to port, dinette with a benchseat with storage and two stools port forward, a side deck access door starboard forward, double aluminum & glass doors, curtain and sliding retractable screen door aft, teak & holly sole, opening side windows with screens and blinds, opening center windshield and engine room access.

The galley is to starboard in the salon.

The master stateroom is forward and offers an island queen size berth with storage underneath, carpet (2024), storage drawers and cabinets, hanging locker, custom shoe storage shelf, 2 portlights, overhead hatch with a screen/shade, reading lights, Vizio flat screen TV and direct access to the head with enclosed shower.

40' Mainship Guest Stateroom

The guest stateroom is to port and originally offered side by side single size berths with storage underneath and an insert to convert them into a double size berth. Jagger has been converted for this stateroom to be more storage, but it could be converted back. There is also a portlight, carpet, storage cabinets, hanging locker and an overhead hatch with a screen/shade. The head with enclosed shower is across the companionway.

40' Mainship Lower Helm

The lower helm offers electronics as detailed in the electronics section of this presentation, anchor windlass control, engine control, bowthruster control, trim tab controls, guide book shelf, side deck access door with a curtain and below-sole equipment access.

40' Mainship Flybridge

The flybridge offers a non-skid deck, fold-up table, a benchseat with storage to starboard, L-shaped seating with storage port aft, 3 X Springfield helmseats, bimini, bimini extension forward, Eisenglass enclosure, storage cabinets, trim tab controls, searchlight control, bowthruster control, electronic engine control, anchor windlass control, storage cabinets, shelf, fan and electronics as detailed in the electronics section of this presentation.

40' Mainship Sundeck

The sundeck aft of the flybridge offers a non-skid deck, stainless steel rails with netting, bimini, molded-in steps to the aftdeck, 2 deck chairs, removable table, hinged mast base and a wetbar with a stainless steel sink, Force 10 grill and storage space.

Curtis Stokes was born in Lewes, Delaware and grew up in nearby Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and St. Michaels, MD until he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1992. Curtis grew up on the water and around boats through many years of fishing, sailing and hunting up and down the East Coast of the U.S. and The Bahamas.

 

While attending Washington College, in Chestertown, Maryland, Curtis decided to obtain his real estate license and joined his father’s real estate firm, Anderson-Stokes Realtors. Curtis became president of the firm after his father’s death and led the company through its expansion to 20 offices and expanded the publicly traded company into insurance, advertising and development. The company was sold in 1991 and Curtis decided to pursue his real love of the water and made yachting his career.

 

Curtis’ yachting career includes everything from a 75’ Trumpy to a 180’ Feadship, 2½ circumnavigations and a half dozen Atlantic Ocean crossings. He has been associated with and enjoyed worldwide cruising on such well known vessels as EXCELLENCE, FIFFANELLA, OUR TOY, MOECCA, RENEGADE, KISSES and HUNTRESS. Curtis also gained experience as sales manager at Hatteras Yachts, in New Bern, NC, where he helped develop and sell new models and train and coordinate his dealer network.

 

Curtis then spent six years as a very successful yacht sales broker with The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, Inc. Curtis was consistently a top producer at the firm. Curtis decided to form his own yacht sales and charter firm September 1, 2009, which took off on a very successful start, even in a recession! Curtis has grown the company to multiple offices and 50 full time sales associates located around the US; and he has sold virtually every type and size of yacht and boat possible.

 

Curtis held a USCG 3000 ton All Oceans Master license, UK MCA Class IV Master certificate, Cayman Islands Master certificate and a PADI Divemaster certificate. He is also a former Emergency Medical Technician, firefighter and CPR instructor. 

 

Curtis is an active member of the America’s Great Loop Cruiser Association (AGLCA), Superyacht Society, United States Superyacht Association, Marine Trawler Owner Association (MTOA), DeFever Cruiser Club, Seven Seas Cruising Association, Billfish Foundation, International Gamefish Association and Ducks Unlimited.

 

Curtis also is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB), a member of the International Yacht Broker Association, Yacht Broker Association of America and the Northwest Yacht Broker Association.
